Memphis Mafia has nothing incommon with any criminal
activities. Elvis has always been surrounded by a group of friends. And some
journalist seeing them in Las Vegas dressed all in dark suits and sunglasses
called them Memphis Mafia. They really looked like mafia also because of their
pale look as the led a night life. But it would be fair to say that in the
70's this "corporation" really had something incommon with Mafia. Their behaviour
was alike Mafia's. They also had a sort of Omerta code of silance. And when
some of them like Sonny and Red Wests broke it Elvis was furious and was intending
to kill them. Of course Elvis wouldn't really kill them. How can one kill
a person if he even hesitates to fire him. They also had their logo designed
by elvis pesonally: a lightning and three letters TCB. It was Elvis' motto
Takin' Care of Business.
And of course Elvis was the Don
